YouTube is a video sharing platform that allows users to upload, view, rate, share, add to playlists, report, comment on videos, and subscribe to other users. The video-sharing platform was founded in February of 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. 1 year later, November 2006, Google purchased YouTube for US$1.65 billion.
