To cancel Discovery Plus: 1. Sign in at discoveryplus.com and check who bills you. 2. If discovery+ bills you directly, open Profile, Subscription, and choose Cancel Your Subscription. 3. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, Samsung, DIRECTV, Xfinity, Verizon, Sling, DISH, or another provider bills you, cancel through that provider instead. Discovery's own help center says deleting the app does not cancel your subscription, and it recommends canceling a day before your next billing date to avoid another charge.

Check Who Bills You First

The official discovery+ cancellation page starts with the biller because the same login can be tied to several purchase paths. To check inside discovery+:

1. Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
2. Choose your profile in the upper right.
3. Open Subscription.
4. Look for the company listed at the top of the screen.

You can also search your email for a discovery+ receipt. The sender usually tells you who controls the renewal.

Cancel A Direct discovery+ Subscription

Use these steps if the account page says you are billed by discovery+:

1. Go to discoveryplus.com and sign in.
2. Choose your profile in the upper right.
3. Select Subscription.
4. Choose Cancel Your Subscription.
5. Follow the prompts until discovery+ confirms the cancellation.

The official discovery+ cancellation help page says you should receive a confirmation email, and that you can keep streaming until the subscription expires at the end of the billing period.

Cancel discovery+ Through Apple, Google Play, Or Roku

Apple

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose discovery+, and tap Cancel Subscription. On Apple TV, manage subscriptions from the Apple TV settings menu. Google Play

Roku

Cancel discovery+ Through Amazon, Samsung, DIRECTV, Xfinity, Or Verizon

Amazon Appstore

Discovery's help center sends Amazon Appstore subscribers to amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions. Sign in, find discovery+ under Your Subscriptions, and turn off auto-renewal.

Prime Video Channels

If discovery+ appears as a Prime Video Channel, manage it from Amazon's Memberships & Subscriptions page or the Prime Video Channels management screen. Our Amazon cancellation guide covers both versions.

Samsung

Discovery's official instructions say Samsung-billed subscribers can sign in at samsungcheckout.com, open Purchase History, choose Subscriptions, find discovery+, and unsubscribe.

DIRECTV or DIRECTV STREAM

Cancel the premium add-on through your DIRECTV account. Discovery notes that provider-billed access through DIRECTV can end immediately, and a prorated credit may appear if applicable.

Xfinity, Verizon, Sling, DISH, Vizio, Or Another Provider

Use the provider account that owns the bill. If discovery+ lists the provider but does not show a cancel button, go to that provider's subscription, perks, add-ons, or premium channels page and remove discovery+ there.

Current discovery+ Pricing

As of tonight's official discovery+ help page, the U.S. plans are:

• discovery+: $5.99/month with limited ads.
• discovery+ (Ad-Free): $9.99/month, with offline mobile downloads.

Both plans include the same content library and work on supported devices; taxes are extra. If you are canceling because the bill looks wrong, compare that official price to the amount on your store or provider receipt.

What Happens After You Cancel?

• Direct, Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, and Samsung subscriptions usually keep streaming until the end of the paid period.
• DIRECTV-billed access may end immediately, according to discovery+ support.
• Deleting the app does nothing to billing. Cancel the subscription, then uninstall if you want.
• Save the confirmation email. If another charge appears, it proves when you canceled.

FAQ

Why is there no cancel button on discoveryplus.com?

The most likely reason is third-party billing. The account page should show who bills you at the top of the Subscription screen. Cancel with that company.

Can I cancel discovery+ after a free trial?

Yes. Cancel before the trial or billing period renews. Discovery recommends doing it at least a day before the next billing date.

Is discovery+ the same as Discovery Go?
