Update
Installing the latest update for your Roku device allows you to have the latest fixes and security updates. Here’s how to check for an update.
- Press “Home.”
- Go to “Settings.”
- Open “System.”
- Choose “System Updated.”
- Select “Check Now.”
Restart
There are different ways to turn off your Roku box. But, the most common way is to:
- Unplug the power from the rear of the device.
- Wait about a minute.
- Plug the Roku power supply back in.
Reset
Option 1
- Press “Home“, then go to “Settings” > “System” > “Advanced system settings” > “Factory reset” > “Factory reset everything“.
Option 2
- Press and hold the reset button on the back or bottom of the Roku box for about 20 seconds.
