How To Get HBO Max On Roku
HBO Max is now available directly on Roku — just install the official HBO Max app from the Roku Channel Store and sign in to start streaming. The older screen-mirroring workarounds below are no longer necessary, but still work if you prefer them:
- Enable screen mirroring on your Roku device.
- Select “Settings” and then “System.”
- Under the “Screen mirroring” option, select “Screen mirroring mode” and make sure either “Prompt” or “Always allow” is checked.
Once enabled, you can cast your screen to the Roku enabled TV and view HBO Max. But, the feature only works with Windows computers an d Android devices.
We’ll update the article once Roku and HBO Max reach a deal which allows you to install the official HBO Max app on Roku.
