Whenever I use Google Chrome I make sure that after a few weeks, I clear the Chrome cache.
At some point, you too need to clear Chrome’s cache. It’s necessary if we want our browser to run at its best and show up to date information.
Here’s how I delete Google Chrome’s cache and data files in 4 simple and easy to follow steps.

Simple steps to clear Google Chrome’s cache
- Open Chrome menu
From the “Menu” button in the upper-right corner of the Chrome window, choose “More Tools” > “Clear browsing data…”.
- Choose time range
Choose the period of time you wish to delete cached information using the “Clear the following items from” drop-down menu. You can select “Cached images and files”.
- Clear the browsing data
Select the “Clear browsing data” button, and Chrome clears your cache.
To ensure that you clean up everything, you may also want to clear browser data stored in your Google Account.
- From a browser, visit the Google – My Activity page.
- Do one of the following:
- Select the three vertical dots next to any item you want to remove, then select “Delete”.
- From the left menu, select “Delete activity by”, choose the desired options, then select “Delete”.
Clearing the browser cache and files on Chrome can also help when you’re trying to activate services like YouTube, Starz, Fox Sports Go, and Showtime Anytime.
