How To Activate MGM Plus On Any Device
To activate MGM+ on your TV: 1. Install and open the MGM+ app on your streaming device or smart TV. 2. Select Sign In — the app displays a short activation code. 3. On your phone or computer, go to mgmplus.com/activate. 4. Sign in to your MGM+ account (or your TV provider account) and enter the code from your TV screen. The app refreshes within a few seconds and you are in. If you subscribe to MGM+ through Prime Video instead, there is nothing to activate — you just watch inside the Prime Video app.
First: Know Which Kind Of MGM+ Subscription You Have
MGM+ (the channel formerly known as EPIX — it rebranded in January 2023, and Amazon now owns MGM) can reach your TV three different ways, and the activation steps depend on which one you use:
- Direct subscription — you signed up at mgmplus.com or inside the MGM+ app. Use your MGM+ email and password at mgmplus.com/activate.
- Prime Video Channels subscription — you added MGM+ inside Prime Video. You watch in the Prime Video app, not the MGM+ app, so no code is needed. (New to that flow? See our guide to activating Prime Video with amazon.com/mytv.)
- Cable or satellite add-on — MGM+ came with your TV package. In the MGM+ app choose the TV provider sign-in option and log in with your provider credentials.
The single most common activation failure is mixing these up — a Prime Video Channels subscription will not log you in to the standalone MGM+ app.
Activate The MGM+ App On Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV & More
- Find the MGM+ app in your device's app store (Roku Channel Store, Amazon Appstore, Apple App Store, Google Play) and install it.
- Open the app and choose Sign In.
- Note the activation code on screen.
- Visit mgmplus.com/activate on another device, sign in, and type the code.
- Wait a few seconds for the TV app to unlock. If the code expires before you finish, the app will generate a fresh one — codes are short-lived by design.
The same flow applies on Android TV, Google TV, Chromecast, and the built-in app stores on Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio smart TVs. On phones and tablets you can skip codes entirely — just sign in inside the iOS or Android app.
Watching MGM+ Through Prime Video Instead
If you would rather not juggle another app, you can subscribe to MGM+ as a Prime Video add-on: open Prime Video, search for MGM+, and start the subscription from there. Everything then plays inside Prime Video on any device Prime Video supports, and you manage or cancel it from your Amazon account. Amazon includes a seven-day free trial for new MGM+ channel subscribers.
MGM+ Pricing In 2026
Verified at the time of writing — prices change, so check the sign-up screen:
- Direct (mgmplus.com or the MGM+ app): $6.99/month, or $58.99/year.
- Through Prime Video Channels: $7.99/month or $61.99/year, with a 7-day free trial (Prime membership required).
- Through cable/satellite: whatever premium-channel price your provider charges — check your bill.
MGM+ is ad-free at every price point; there is no cheaper ad-supported tier.
Supported Devices
The MGM+ app runs on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Android TV, iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio smart TVs, plus web browsers on Mac and Windows at mgmplus.com. Through Prime Video, MGM+ effectively works anywhere Prime Video does.
Troubleshooting Activation
- Code not accepted: codes expire quickly — get a fresh one from the TV app and enter it promptly.
- "No subscription found": you are signing in with the wrong account type. Prime Video Channel subscribers should watch in Prime Video; TV-provider subscribers should use the provider sign-in option.
- Still see EPIX branding: update or reinstall the app. The old epixnow.com activation flow was replaced when EPIX became MGM+.
- App misbehaving after sign-in: see our full guide to fixing MGM+ when it is not working.
FAQ
Is there an activation fee?
No. Activation just links the TV app to the subscription you already pay for.
How many devices can I activate?
You can install and sign in to the MGM+ app on your household's devices without a hard activation cap; simultaneous-stream limits are the practical constraint.
Do I need Amazon Prime to get MGM+?
No — only for the Prime Video Channels route. The direct subscription at mgmplus.com works without Prime and is a dollar cheaper per month.
