How to Watch Peacock On Firestick?
Peacock TV is NBC’s new streaming service that has over 13,000 hours of free content. Needless to say, I was interested. This is especially true given they were moving The Office over as a Peacock exclusive. As someone who has been binge-watching The Office on Netflix for the past year, I knew Peacock had me once they announced this. However, I have an Amazon Firestick and I noticed on Peacock’s website there were no Amazon devices listed (unlike devices like Roku).
This seemed like a glaring omission considering how popular Amazon’s Firesticks and Amazon Fire TV’s are among streaming consumers. Fortunately, there are ways to get the Peacock TV app on your Amazon device.
2026 update: This article is out of date in one big way — Peacock now has a native app on Amazon Fire TV and Firestick. Just search “Peacock” in the Amazon Appstore and install it directly; the sideloading workaround below is no longer necessary. Also note that Peacock retired its free tier in early 2025, so a paid plan (Premium $10.99/month or Premium Plus $16.99/month) is now required.
Is The Amazon Firestick or Fire TV Supported?
As mentioned, you aren’t getting direct support with these devices. On Peacock’s website, you will notice there are no Amazon devices listed as being currently supported.
However, you will also note that they recommend ‘sideloading’ the application onto your device.
How To Sideload Peacock TV Onto Your Amazon Fire Device:
- Turn On “Enable Unknown Sources”
- Find the app called “Downloader” from the Amazon App Store
- Launch the app and accept all permission requests
- Find the Peakcock .APK file URL from Google (Type in Peakcock For Amazon .APK)
- Paste that URL in the downloader app and it will begin to download the file
- Install the application
- Look for the new Peacock application installed on your home screen
From there, you will be able to input all of your Peacock credentials and begin binge-watching your favorite NBC exclusives and shows.
Can I Watch Peacock On My Firestick If I’m Not In The US?
One of the downsides of Peacock as a streaming service is that it’s only available in the US. Because of this, you will need to use a VPN with it. You should be able to install a VPN on the Firestick and access the streaming service while outside of the country.
Can I Watch Peacock On My Firestick Without Sideloading The App?
Yes. Luckily, with the Firestick, you have other options if you don’t want to go through the process of sideloading. You could download a casting application directly onto your Firestick. From there, you would download the Peacock app on your currently supported mobile device whether it be Android or iOS. Once you navigate to a show that you want to watch, you can press the cast button and choose your Firestick.
This will allow you to stream your content directly to your Firestick. While it’s not as good as having the application natively available on your device, it will allow you to enjoy all that the new Peacock streaming service has to offer in terms of free and paid content.
How Much Is Peacock?
Peacock is now a paid service after retiring its free tier in early 2025. Peacock Premium costs $10.99 per month and gives you access to movies, TV, and live events including live sports.
If you pay for the Premium Plus plan, which costs $16.99 per month, you get everything in Premium plus mostly ad-free streaming and the ability to download select titles to watch offline.
