How To Cancel Your YouTube TV Subscription
YouTube TV has become one of the most value-packed live TV streaming services available. It’s one of Google’s best new services. They’ve done a good job with curating content and getting networks on board. It has a lot of must-have networks that suit a lot of television watchers. However, there may come a time when you simply don’t want to pay for TV for a month. Or, perhaps you want to subscribe to another live streaming TV service. If so, you’ll need to cancel your YouTube TV. Here are some of the things that you should do when you are looking to cancel.
How To Cancel or Pause Your YouTube TV Subscription:
1. Are You Doing It During a Free Trial?
First things first, if you are canceling your subscription during a free trial, it’s going to end it effective immediately. Because of this, you don’t want to cancel until you’ve used up all of the remaining time on the trial. That way, you get the most out of your trial. If you want to avoid getting charged, set up a reminder on your phone to cancel the day before your trial ends. You could do it the day of, but you would be pushing it.
2. You Are Canceling After Paying
If you are canceling after you’ve paid for the service for a month, you don’t have to worry about losing out on the remainder of the billing period. Instead, you can cancel the day you get charged and not have to worry about getting charged for the next period. This can be a good way to keep yourself from paying for something that you didn’t want.
3. Canceling Your Membership
If you’ve decided that you want to cancel, you can do so easily. First, you open the YouTube TV application. You can either do this on your Android device or directly in a web browser. If doing it from a web browser, you can type in tv.youtube.com. From there, you will go to your profile photo and click on it. You will then navigate to the Settings menu and click on “membership” in the drop-down. You can then click on “cancel membership” and your membership will be canceled. As mentioned, if you do this during the month of a period you’ve already pre-paid for, you don’t have to worry about losing access to the content for the remainder of the period.
4. You Can Pause
YouTube TV makes it very easy to pause your membership. This can be a better way to go about taking a break from paying for the streaming service. During the pause, you don’t have to worry about getting charged. You can pause it by going to the same membership setting. You can even choose how many weeks you want to pause the membership. This can make it much easier to re-activate when you want and to not lose any of the saved shows or movies you recorded or the profile settings you set up.
