How To Activate Fox Nation On Your TV
To activate Fox Nation on your TV: 1. Install the Fox Nation app from your TV's app store — the dedicated TV app is currently available on Roku, Vizio SmartCast, and Samsung smart TVs. 2. Open the app and choose Sign In, and the screen will display a short activation code. 3. On your phone or computer, go to nation.foxnews.com/activate. 4. Enter the code from your TV screen and sign in with your Fox Nation email and password. 5. Your TV refreshes automatically within a few seconds and you are in. If your streaming device is not on that list — Fire TV or Apple TV, for example — you are not out of luck: Fox now serves Fox Nation content through the FOX One app on those platforms, and your existing Fox Nation login works there too.
What You Need Before You Start
You need an active Fox Nation subscription before the activation code will do anything. If you have not signed up yet, do it on the web at nation.foxnews.com rather than through an app store — signing up on the web makes your account easier to manage and cancel later. As of this writing Fox Nation costs $8.99 per month, with an annual plan that runs about $71.88 per year (which works out to roughly $5.99 per month). Fox also runs aggressive promotions several times a year — around July 4th, 2026 it sold a full year for $17.76 — so it is worth checking the site for a current deal before paying full price.
Step-By-Step Activation
On Roku, Vizio, And Samsung TVs
- Open your TV's app store (Channel Store on Roku, the app row on Vizio SmartCast, Apps on Samsung) and search for Fox Nation.
- Install the app and open it.
- Select Sign In. The app shows an activation code.
- On another device, visit nation.foxnews.com/activate and enter the code exactly as shown.
- Sign in with your Fox Nation credentials when prompted. The TV app unlocks on its own — no need to restart it.
Codes expire after a few minutes. If yours stops working, back out of the sign-in screen and re-enter it to generate a fresh code.
On Fire TV, Apple TV, And Other Devices: Use FOX One
Fox has been consolidating its streaming apps around FOX One, its all-in-one service that launched in August 2025. Fox Nation subscribers can sign in to the FOX One app with the same email and password and stream the full Fox Nation library from the menu — no extra charge for the Fox Nation content you already pay for. So on devices where the standalone Fox Nation app is not offered, install FOX One instead, choose Sign In, and use your Fox Nation account. If the app misbehaves once you are in, our guide to fixing FOX One covers the usual culprits.
On Your Phone Or Tablet
Grab the Fox Nation app from the App Store or Google Play, open it, and sign in directly with your email and password — no activation code needed on mobile. The mobile app also supports casting to compatible TVs, which is a handy workaround if your TV does not carry the app at all.
Through Amazon Prime Video
Since February 2026, Fox Nation is also sold as a Prime Video channel add-on at $8.99 per month on top of your Prime membership. If you subscribed that way, there is nothing to activate — Fox Nation content simply appears inside the Prime Video app, and your billing and cancellation both live with Amazon, not Fox.
Activation Code Not Working?
- Code expired — codes are short-lived. Generate a new one by backing out and reopening the sign-in screen.
- Wrong site — make sure you are on nation.foxnews.com/activate, not a lookalike. Fox's activation pages always live on foxnews.com or fox.com domains.
- No active subscription — a valid login with a lapsed subscription will authenticate but refuse to play anything. Check your plan status in your account settings on the website.
- App cache — if the code screen never loads, force-close the app, or uninstall and reinstall it, then try again.
- Still stuck — sign out on the TV, restart the device with a full unplug for one minute, and run the activation flow fresh. Fox's official help center at help.fox.com has a live chat if the account itself is the problem.
FAQ
Is Fox Nation free with a Fox News cable login?
No. Fox Nation is a separate paid subscription and a cable or satellite login does not include it. It is the reverse of activating the Fox News channel app with your TV provider, which we cover in our Fox News Connect activation guide.
How many devices can I use?
You can install Fox Nation on all of your devices and sign in with the same account; simultaneous streaming is limited to a small number of concurrent streams, which is plenty for typical household use.
What about the regular Fox network app?
The Fox broadcast app is a different product that activates with a TV-provider login — see our guide to activating Fox if that is what you are after.
