Types of Pants For Women

I’ll start by showing the different kinds of pants for the ladies. Of course, there will be overlap. That is to say that some styles will appear in both the men and women section.

Jeans

Jeans are in every girl’s closet. They are the go-to type of pants for almost any occasion.

Not only are jeans comfortable but they are also fashionable and have never gone out of style.

Jeggings

The cross between a jeans and a leggings. You get the best of both worlds! Show off your curves while stile enjoying the comfort of a jeans.

Trousers

These types of women’s pants are more for the work environment. Trousers are both comfortable and stylish and usually made of wool, polyester, or cotton.

Capris

I love capris! There’s not a summer that goes by that I don’t pop one on. You may call them by another name depending on which state you’re from…

Stretch Pedal Pushers

I’ve heard them being called pedal pushers, clam diggers, three-quarter pants, or crop pants. Whatever the name, these stylish pieces should be part of your wardrobe.

Leggings

Firm fitting, booty lifting, camel-toe popping… you name it! Leggings leave little to the imagination and if you got it then flaunt it!

Leggings are your typical gym attire but you see them everywhere nowadays.

Yoga Pants

Yoga pants get their name because of their flexibility and how comfortable they are. You don’t have to go to yoga class to wear one!

And, yoga pants are not leggings. Yoga pants are thicker and have more breathing room than leggings.

Palazzos

These types of pants styles for women are most popular for slender women. Palazzos have wide legs and the overall pants remain very loose. There’s not a fashion show on earth that you can go to without seeing a palazzo.

Sailor Pants

These pants types are snug around the waist but flare out at the bottom. Some are knee length while others are full length.

Harem Pants

Harem pants are loose fitting and comfy pants that are normally woven from silk.

Types of Pants for Men

Ok, guys! Let’s see what I dug up for you! There are just as many men’s pants types as there are women’s!

Jeans

The most popular pants for men and women alike, the jeans. You can get them in a variety of colors, styles, and designs.

Khaki Pants

Khaki pants are your typical male uniform. You see them at schools, workplaces, as casual shorts, or formal attire.

Throw on a sweater and a pair of khakis and you’re ready for the golf course (we know who wears these).

Cargo Pants

Cargo pants are your best option for outdoor activity like hiking. They are comfortable, have lots of pockets, and come in a variety of colors.

And, there are even some more fashionable, no so outdoor-ish options for the trendsetters out there.

Chinos

Chinos are like the cousin to Khakis. The difference is that chinos are dressier and the stitches are hidden. You wear chinos at more formal events given the slimmer cut and lighter material.

Sweat Pants

These are athletic pants but like leggings, you now see them swinging around everywhere. And, there are many types of sweatpants to choose from.

Flat Front Pants

Last but not least are flat front pants for men. These one’s are best bought in store where you can try them on. They have a peculiar fit and unless you’re absolutely certain of your measurements, it’s best to go in person and get them.
