One AirPod not working is usually due to charging problems or Bluetooth issues. To fix, place both AirPods on in the charging case and ensure that they charge.
If they do charge, go to Settings>Bluetooth on your device. Tap the “i” icon near your AirPods. Tap forget this device and confirm. Place both AirPods into the charging case and close it. After 30 seconds, open the lid.
Press and hold the setup button for a few seconds. Once the status light starts blinking white, release the button. Reconnect your AirPods by placing them close to your device and opening the lid.
Follow the setup instructions on your device screen. Once complete, test both AirPods and they should both now work.
